Wild Bird Day 2024— Preliminary Results

On 12 October, over 1,000 birdwatchers across India celebrated India’s Wild Bird Day, submitting 3,074 checklists and documenting 762 bird species. This national event, aligned with the global October Big Day, saw India rank 8th worldwide for checklists and species reported.
