GBBC 2017: Stories from the field

CBC 2017 in Bareilly

This was my 2nd year in organising Campus Bird Count. I conducted the Event at the following places in my city , Bareilly(U.P) – Indian Veterinary Research Institute – St. Xavier’s College Campus – St. Xavier’s Primary School The participants were briefed about the “Indian Birds” in general .

Images of Common Resident species and Few Migratory Birds were shown to them before the Bird watching. They were provided with Binoculars and the students particularly very excited about spotting Birds in flight ( Mostly Black Kites ) . I had taken prints of the CBC Poster and used it during the programme.

The Birds observed during the Count has already been reported in the portal.
