We hope that the challenge for the month of August was fun for you, and that it gave you the opportunity to observe some interesting bird behaviour. We enter September – truly a month of transition. By the end of this month, the monsoon showers should have left most parts of India and hopefully, seasonal changes will be signaled by the arrival of passage as well as early winter migrants.
This month also has some interesting birding events that might make you want to go to new places and look for birds:
- 1- 11 September Passage Migrant Count
- 2 September- 3rd October- Vulture Count
- 9 – 12 September – Onam Bird Count
This month’s challenge entails birding with others and finding migrants together!
The challenge for September is to upload at least 30 eligible lists. At least 6 out of 30 lists should be shared with other eBirders.
Shared lists could be lists that another person has shared with you or you have shared with someone else. The only requirement is that all people on the shared checklist were birding together at the same time and place.
Here are some Quick Videos to guide you on how to share checklists:
1. Share eBird checklist through eBird web
2. Share eBird checklist through eBird Mobile App
Please note that checklists must be entered, shared, and accepted by 10th of October 2022
Here are the general rules of our monthly challenges. And check out the yearlong challenges for 2022 as well! You can keep track of fresh lists coming in from India on this page.
