New: Results of 2022’s Year-long eBird-India Challenge!
February is an exciting month for birdwatchers across the world, as they gear up for the most-awaited event of the year—Great Backyard Bird Count! The Great Backyard Bird Count also known as GBBC, is a free, fun and easy event that gets beginner and experienced birdwatchers of all ages to watch and count birds. This year the GBBC is from 17–20, February. There is also the Campus Bird Count (CBC), a sub-event that runs along with GBBC. Multiple campuses across India participate in the CBC to document the birdlife in their area.
Keeping these events in mind, this month’s challenge involves uploading at least 40 eligible lists.
The forty lists are divided such that at least 20 should be from the four days of the GBBC (17–20, Feb) and at least another 20 in the remaining twenty-four days of the month.
Please upload all your lists by 10 March 2023 so that we can announce the results soon after that.
