Kati Bihu Bird Count 2023–Results

Kati Bihu is the time when rice saplings are relocated. The festival is also called Kongali (Poor), which is meant to represent an empty granary and less food at that time of year. Because of this, Kati Bihu isn’t celebrated with as much pomp as the other two Bihu festivals. BBC aims to celebrate Kathi Bihu by documenting the wide variety of birds in Assam, particularly those that are winter migrants in Assam.
