Chestnut-winged Cuckoo (Clamator coromandus) is a close relative of our much-loved Pied Cuckoo.
Strongly migratory in nature, it breeds in Northeast India, East and Southeast Asia and migrates down to the southernmost parts of the Indian peninsula. Sri Lanka and Southeast Asia during winter. Birds that winter in the subcontinent are presumably those that breed in the Himalayan foothills and thereabouts.

Ashy Drongo (Dicrurus leucophaeus) breeds in the Himalayas and in parts of central India and migrates to lower altitudes and latitudes during winter.
