October 2018 eBirders of the Month 1

Last month saw a sharp uptick in birding activity in India. Here is the breakup of eBirding in the country in October 2018 (with previous month in brackets):

Number of birders: 1,528 (1,171)
Number of lists (all types): 15,400 (11,500)
Number of observations: 2.81 lakh (1.96 lakh)

September challenge

The challenge for October was to bird for at least 5 hours during Wildlife Week (2-8 October) and at least 12 hours overall in the month (details at the link above). Of the 1,528 eBirders in this month, and impressive 185 met the target. These are (excluding group accounts):
