17 correct answers were received for Quiz 5! The species referred to in the quiz were:

Species A: Rufous-vented Prinia (Prinia burnesii)

Species B: Swamp Prinia (Prinia cinerascens)

The two are sister species which were considered conspecific and clubbed under Prinia burnesii. They are found in low-lying grasslands of the Indus/Gangetic and Brahmaputra floodplains. They are difficult to see in their preferred habitat, and the Swamp Prinia is an extremely range-restricted species found in the threatened grassland landscapes in NE India

It is now time for Quiz 7!

Even in the heat of May, the two subcontinental endemics referred to here are known to be very active active and vocal. They excavate their own nests in trees and are familiar birds of urban parks and woodlands in several parts of their range. Both species here belong to the same genus.

Can you guess which two endemic species we are talking about?
