Organised by Bird Count India and WWF-India

How can birders continue to watch birds and at the same time contribute towards a better understanding of the birds we all love? This workshop will talk about how just documenting the birds we see on our trips can be extremely valuable; and how simple coordinated projects by the birding community can help monitor the status of birds in our area. We will introduce eBird, a global listing platform that is being used by individual birders and birding groups across India.

In addition, we will hear from Bikram Grewal about the history of birdwatching in and around Delhi. Pankaj Gupta and Soma Ateesh will talk about recent happenings among birders and birding habitats in the NCR. We will discuss how birders in Delhi could come together to monitor birds and habitats in the region.
